Margaret E. (nee Gurnham) LAMB 1917-2014 Peacefully in her sleep December 31, 2014, aged 97. Mother to Betty Thompson (Gordon, Hudson QC) and mother-in-law to Ross Fraser (Lantzville, BC). Grandmother to Christopher (Stephanie), Jeremy (Janet), Jennifer, Graham (Valerie) and Kevin. Great grandmother to Sasha, Eva, Lachlan (Victoria BC); Jennifer, Heather, Caitlyn, Emily (Calgary, AB); Bella, Anna (Vankleek Hill, ON). Predeceased by her loving husband and salmon fisherman Dr. Roland T. Lamb and daughter Judith Fraser (Lantzville, BC). She was a great storyteller, a kind sympathetic listener, and an inspiration to many. An experienced cook of Atlantic salmon and sugar pies on her woodstove, she loved to host friends and family at her beloved summer home, “Le Braconnier”, Coin du Banc, QC. We are blessed with so many happy memories. Le Braconnier will remain a permanent testimony to Margaret and Rollie’s love to each other and love of the Gaspé coast. Sincere thanks to the wonderful caregivers at the Sunrise of Beaconsfield who welcomed her into their home for the past 8 months. Memorial service to take place in the spring.
